Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

Everything you type into the calculator — distances, times, paces, speeds and, if you use Splits or ETA, your split settings and your ETA details — is kept only in the app's own preferences, on your device. None of it is uploaded to us, and none of it is shared. There are no accounts and no sign-in, so the app has no way to know who you are.

What the app does not collect

Neither app contains code to collect any of the following, and neither asks for these permissions:

• Your name, email address, or any account, device or advertising identifier.
• Your location. The app does not use GPS or location services at all.
• Contacts, photos, health data, the camera, or the microphone.
• Run history, workout logs, or training data. The only past runs the app keeps are the legs you finish in ETA, and they stay on your device.

Anonymous analytics

Anonymous usage analytics are on by default and can be switched off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous Analytics. Switching them off stops these events being sent.

Analytics are handled by Trackless, a privacy-focused analytics service. It uses no cookies, no advertising identifiers and no device fingerprinting, and what it receives is not linked to you and is never used for tracking.

While analytics are on, the app sends:

• Product interaction — which screens are opened and which features are used, for example that a race distance was picked from the presets.
• Diagnostic data — the name of an error, and a few setup details: the device model (for example iPhone 16 Pro), whether Pro is unlocked and, on iPhone and iPad, the interface style. No crash logs or stack traces are collected.
• Performance data — a metric name and a duration, such as how long the app took to launch.

None of it is linked to your identity and none of it is used for tracking. This is exactly what the app declares in its App Store privacy manifest and in its Google Play Data safety form.

Permissions

Both apps ask for permissions only when you use ETA, never at launch, and declining simply leaves that part of ETA off. On iPhone and iPad: notifications, so ETA can alert you a few minutes before your runner arrives, and, from version 6.2.0 on iOS 26 or later, permission to schedule alarms, for the ETA Alarm. On Android, from version 1.1.0: notifications (Android 13 and later), for ETA's alerts and the lock-screen countdown; Alarms & reminders, so the alerts and the Alarm arrive at the minute you chose; and Full-screen notifications (Android 14 and later), so the Alarm can take over a locked screen like an alarm clock. Before version 1.1.0, the Android app asks for no permission at all. None of these permissions gives the app access to your data, and no other permission is ever requested.

Purchases

Pro is a one-time purchase: on iPhone and iPad through the App Store, and on Android, from version 1.1.0, through Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment; the app never sees your payment details, and we receive no personal information from the transaction. All the app reads is whether your Apple Account or Google account holds the Pro purchase. A purchase unlocks Pro only in the app from the store it was made in.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. Neither app carries advertising SDKs, social SDKs, or user-tracking SDKs — the ad SDK the iPhone app once used was removed in version 5.2.0. The only external service either app contacts is the analytics service described above, and only while analytics are switched on.

This website

This site is made of static pages. It has no accounts, no forms and no advertising, and it sets no cookies. The only thing it keeps in your browser is your light or dark theme preference, which stays on your device.

The pace calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you type are never sent anywhere. Page views are counted with the same privacy-focused analytics service the app uses: no cookies, no identifiers, no cross-site tracking.

The App Store links on this site carry a campaign tag so Apple can tell us how many visits led to a download. The tag is the same for everyone and identifies this website rather than you — it sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, and Apple reports the result to us only as anonymous totals.

Changes to this policy

Any update to this policy will be published on this page, with a new effective date. We will always prioritize your privacy and your control over your data.
